Gallbladder surgery, Did I make the right choice?!
Question: Gallbladder surgery, Did I make the right choice!?
I went to see a surgeon today because I have a gallstone!. He said I have no symptoms and only one gallstone so did not need to have my gallbladder removed!. However, when I told the surgeon that my husband and I plan to have another child in the near future!.!.!.he said "good enough reason!. Now let's talk about the surgery"!.
The surgeon gave me a choice and I chose to have my gallbladder removed!.
Also, I've had kidney stones for the past 2 1/2 years and didn't want more pain in my future!. Plus the risks of gallstones in pregnancy!. Do you think I made a smart decision to get surgery!? My surgery is in 2 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

*I think your decision was a good and wise one!. Your doctor doesn't seem like the kind of doctor who is knife happy and anxious to do surgery on people for no reason!. After all, he initially told you that you don't need the surgery!. He is aware of the risks this could cause if/when you become pregnant and I'm sure he weighed the pros and cons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My girl!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I have had 11 stones and 3 years ago had my gallbladder removed!. ! BEST THING I EVER DID , GO AND DO IT!.

Yes!. Pregnancy, diet changes and raging hormones can cause flare-ups of your gallbladder during pregancy and often, any surgery during pregnancy is a higher risk factor than if you were not pregnant!. Get this taken care of and complete the healing process before you consider getting pregnant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sure why not, after all it's only our insurance rates that keep going up for a surgery that you don't really need!. Even the doc told you so!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
