This could be from an inner ear infection or inflammation you need to see your health care provider to really know!.There is a possibly of hearing loss from long term earaches!.
Earaches are usally caused by an infection that is either bacterial,viral, or fungal in nature!.Middle ear infections may occur from an respiratory infection such as in a cold!.In some cases bacteria travel up from the back of the throat threw the eustachian tube and settle into the middle ear this happens behind the ear drum your doctor can tell by looking into your ear and see if inflammed!.
Nasal allergies excessive mucus production from allergies can block the eustachian tube!.
Second hand smoke can cause ear infections (middle)
Ear wax over producing ear wax can trap moisture and trigger ear infammation in the ears!.Placeing objects inside the ear can cause infections as well by scratching the lining or irritate it as well
Apply warm compress or place ear on a heating pad for warmththis may help with the pain!.
Elevate your head when you sleep this helps fluids drain away from ears!.
