Does salicylic acid (compound w) work for removing warts?!

Question:

Does salicylic acid (compound w) work for removing warts?

i have a couple very stubborn warts on my hand, ive tried over the counter freezing which has not worked. A friend reccomended buying a cheap salicylic acid from the chemists, has anyone any experience with this who could give me some advice? thanks for your help!! xx

Answers:

Yes... in fact that's what I used to finally get rid of 2 stubborn ones of mine. It just took a while. I tried the freezing kit and it didn't even phase them. Stay with the Compound-w (I used the gel kind) until they are gone - try to apply it every single night - and be sure they are totally gone before you stop. Sometimes they look gone but there's still a little bit left and it'll come back. Been free of these guys for well over a year now though!
