Does anybody have herpes simplex keratitis (optical herpes)?!

Question: Does anybody have herpes simplex keratitis (optical herpes)!?
About 3 months ago i found out that i have a herpes ulcer scar on my cornea, and if i continue getting herpe outbreaks in my eye that i will eventually need a cornea transplant because it will cause blindness!. I've been taking acyclovir for about a year now (i have genital herpes also) i missed it yesterday and now I'm having all of the symptoms of another outbreak in my eye!! Im going to the doctors tomorrow but im just curious to know if anybody else has it, how many outbreaks they have had and how long they have had it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
nope, don't have it!.
but I wanted to say that all the information your doctors stated is absolutely correct!. It is a common cause of corneal blindness, so do your best not to miss any doses of your medication!.

Corneal transplants are NOT a walk through the park - though most people do well, there are some potentially devastating complications (like infection in the eye after the surgery)!. So plan on keeping your own corneas as long as possible ! (:-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
