Answers:
Coronary artery disease is reduced blood flow through the coronary arteries!. This is usually due to atherosclerotic plaques, which is usually due to poor diet and aging!.

When blood flow is completely obstructed, your heart can't get oxygen and starts to die!. You feel a sudden, sharp stabbing pain and yep it's a HEART ATTACK! The med term for heart attack is Myocardial Infarction (infarct = area that dies due to lack of blood; Myocardial = heart muscle)!.

I'm sure that's what your instructor is looking for!. Actually, myocardial infarction is a type of "Acute Coronary Syndrome," which is a phrase doctors use to cover sudden onset chest pain ("unstable angina"), NSTEMI (a type of Myocardial Infarction) and STEMI (a worse type of Myocardial Infarction)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Coronary artery disease is when the coronaries have plaque build up in them!. Also called coronary artherosclerosis

Hmmm, I can't think of what an actual blockage is called besides just an occlusion, blockage or lesion!. That's what the doctors I work with call it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Artherosclerosis!. It can lead to a heart attack or myocardial infarction and death!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
