Can anyone help with prevention of cellulitus of the breast?!

Question:

Can anyone help with prevention of cellulitus of the breast?

I had Cancer of the breast requiring Surgery & Radiotherapy in 2001. I have had 3 severe bouts of Cellulitus of the breast requiring hospitalizasion and would like advice on how to avoid this.
As I want to go travelling again soon can anyone help me with what to take to help if an attack should occur.
The last 2 attacks were very severe and I had to go immediatly to Hospital where I was given Intravenious Antibiotics for 4 days, pain killers,& Ibuprofen. I was then released with a further 10 days Antibiotics

Answers:

I have the exact same problem with my breast after two reconstructions, and both times the infection was resistant to antibiotics landing me in the hospital for 10 days this last time. I don't know what you really could do to prevent it. It's caused by staph or strep. The bacteria enters in through breaks in the skin. and it doesn't seem to matter how well you are bandaged and how many times you wash the area or your hands....though that would be my best advise to you to try to keep it away along with antibiotic creams on any open area and also be sure to take all antibiotics prescribed to you after each surgery or procedure.
