Is it bad to always have loose stools and always need to use the bathroom?!

Question:

Is it bad to always have loose stools and always need to use the bathroom?

Answers:

Well, since I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis about a year ago, I've fallen into a lot of information regarding digestive problems.
From what I've read, loose stool could indicate that your digestive tract isn't properly absorbing the liquids that you're consuming. When you have lots of liquids and the colon doesn't do it's job absorbing, you get loose stool or diarreah (sp?).
With my particular disorder, I have that combined with mild to extreme urgency, as well as blood/mucous in the stool and pain/bloating. Rather unpleasent to talk about, but those are some signs to watch for.
I went and got a colonoscopy for my problem and was easily diagnosed. If you feel as though what you have is a continuous problem and is interrupting your life, it's definitely worth getting looked at.
I'm not sure of the ins-and-outs of things like IBS (Irratable Bowel Syndrome) or other, more mild forms of Colitis, but it seems problems like this happen much more frequently to women than men, so you might get some more information on the symptoms of those.
With UC I was having to take all sorts of stinkin pills! I hated them! I got onto this 'natural' kick, and found something at Walgreen's that's called Digestive Advantage; this is a non-drug that helps your body to stay on track without the aids of perscription medicines or things that might have side effects. They have Digestive Advantage for Crohn's & Colitis, for Lactose Intolerance, for IBS, and quite a few more. They're kind of mixed in with everything, so if you're considering it, you might ask a pharmacist to help you find the darn thing!
Who knows? You might be lactose intolerant-which means your body has trouble digesting dairy products so it throws your stomach out of whack. Another thing you can pay attention to is whether or not it gets worse with certain foods. Try cutting out milk/yogurt/cheese and see what happens. If you get no results, take out wheat/gleuten containing products. It's sort of a trial and error with that, but worth it if you can get some results.
The best thing you can do is go to a gastrointestinologist (GI) doctor and see what they have to say.
However, if the problem isn't persistant and only happens every once in awhile, you should be fine, could just be a stomach bug!
Haha, sorry, I tend to get carried away sometimes with this, but I've learned so much and I'd like to help anyone I can with my knowledge and experiences. Knowledge is power!
