Question: I think i have a UTI, but what does it mean!?

im 14 and recently when i went to the toilet it really hurt, like a stinging kind of hurt, and it feelt like i wanted to scream!. it hurts so much that i actually start crying!. after using the toilet it continues to hurt, i dont have any nasty coloured discharge or smells or anything!. its just the pain!.

i didnt really want to have to tell my mom but i dont want it getting any worse so i told her and she sugested Cranberry juice and said it would help!.

i'm still gunna make her take me to the doctors, because i'm convinced i have a UTI!.

but if i do, what does it mean!?
like, does it have any effects on anything!?

It just means that you have a urinary tract infection!. You will experience moderate discomfort, bladder spasms, lower back pain, and a low grade fever until the infection has been killed!. You should go to the Dr and let them do a Ua (urinealaysis) to make sure that's what you have!. They will also do a C/S (culture and sensitivity to find out what bacteria is causing the problems!.) I'm sure you will get antibiotics, take them until they are gone!. They will also give you something for the spasms when you urinate!. Drink lots of fluids, no caffeine!. Wipe from front to back!. The bacteria is more than likely e coli and is easily treated!. It will not have lasting effects on anything unless the infection remains untreated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to go to a doctor immediately because it can get really bad quickly!. If you notice blood in your urine, get to a hospital, because it may cause infection throughout your blood stream!. A doctor will recommend an antibiotic to clear it up asap, and an effervescent tablet which reduced the pain during urination!.

A UTI is a urinary tract infection and the pain you are experiencing MIGHT be due to it!. You should definitely go to a doctor who will propably ask you to give a urine sample!. It you have an infection due to a bacterium he will prescribe an antibiotic to clear it up!.

Hey! UTI stands for Urinary Tract Infection!. Basically u get UTI if the ecoli bacteria which is present around your anus goes to your urethra where urine is being discharged!. There are many symptoms!.!.like there's a burning sensation every and after urinating!. When u feel the urge of urinating, only a few droplets comes out, foul smell sometimes mixed with blood!. So, the best way to find out if you got one is to see a doctor and have your urine examined!. Once you get the results!.!.!.check on the paper if there are any proteins present in urine!.!.!.because if there is!.!.!.this is due to the bacteria that produces proteins!. Or if you are pretty unsure if you have interpreted the results correctly better let the physician do it for you!.
