Question: Please tell me if you think this woman is lying about having breast cancer!?
Her boyfriend was going overseas to visit his best friend for 2 weeks!. She didnt want him to go in the first place!. She rang him up the day after he got there and told him she had breast cancer!. In the end she said not to worry just come home in 2 weeks!. She was going to radiation twice a day but says she got sick so she only went once a day!. Meanwhile she is still working as a primary school teacher!. Her boyfriend wants to be supportive and wants to go to radiation with her but she keeps changing the appointments around on him!. This woman has told nobody about her having breast cancer except the boyfriend!. She hasnt even told her parents who she lives with!. She is only 24!. What do you think!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

She had radiation therapy 3 x's a week!.
She got violently sick after her treatments!.
Her hair would fall out & never grew back in areas!.

I mean I wouldnt just go "pff, as if she has cancer :/" because it IS possible!.
But to me, it seems just like one of those cases where a girl tells a boyfriend that shes 'pregnant', just as their on the verge of breaking up!.
I guess there's no real way of knowing till the boyfriend finally does get to go with her to therapy!!

It's possible to be in treatment for breast cancer and still be working, though she'd have to take time off for treatment!.
It's extremely rare for a woman of 24 to develop breast cancer, but not unheard of!.
On the other hand, people with breast cancer don't have radiation twice a day - I doubt anyone does - and radiotherapy for breast cancer doesn't make you feel ill in the way radiaotherapy targetted at the head would - very tired, perhaps, and possibly burnt, but not sick!. It's usual for people having radiotherapy for breast cancer to have it each week day for a few weeks, the number of sessions depending on their individual cancer!. I had 25 sessions over 5 weeks!.
As far as I'm aware - and I've met many people with breast cancer through support networks - it's very unusual to have radiotherapy as your initial treatment, before any surgery; I've never heard of that, but someone here may know better!.

did she have an appointment before he left!? when i went for my pap and was checked for lumps, my dr found one!. 2 days later i had a mammogram and an ultrasound!. fortunately for me everything was ok, but had it not been they would have taken a biopsy!. then scheduled an appointment to discus my options!. when my husband found out he had cancer it was a week after the biopsy before they confirmed!. we then took off for a week to Niagara falls, never did the doctor try to contact us until after we were back to make arrangements for chemo!. i hope she doesn't have cancer, but that is a terrible thing to claim and not be true!. if that is the case, she is a very selfish and needy person!. if your friend finds out that she is lying, i hope he discontinues his relationship with such a manipulative person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i would hate to thin so but there is sick people out there who are desperate enough to cling on to a relationship to do this as far as i am aware you only get radiation treatment once per day mon till fri so that is one thing i would be asking about i no this as my husband has just finished course of 30 also tight regime with appointments as the machines are booked solid not wanting to bad minded but i think she is faking it also just thought all treatment would stop if she is pregnant as this would be harmful to the foetus also the treatment she has had the baby would have to be checked hope this is helpful take careWww@Answer-Health@Com
