What is a pulmonary test in a box?

Okay the doctors office called and said that he (meaning the doctor) wanted me to get another pulmonary test that you sit in a sealed box? Does anybody have any idea what this is? I am very claustophobic and now I am nervous about going in for it. I don't like elevators I avoid them like the plague. Can someone let me know if this is true about the box? And what to expect? Like not eating etc. I am scarred to death at this point. Thank you for any info.

emtd65 the office said this test would last over an hour. Does this mean that your stuck in this sealed box that long? Or is it take the test the door opens on and off throughout testing?

My daughter had this test done. You can bring someone with you if you would like to.
You will go into a glass booth and sit sown and breath into a tube.
this test will last about an hour, but you will not be in the box with the door shut the entire time. The therapist will open the door and give you instructions on when to breath and how to breath (short or deep breaths). You will be just fine.
