Not sure about colors, but here is a link (http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Plague) to the common plagues!. Hope this helps!. Good Luck!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm rreally not sure that there are any legitimate medical conditions that correspond to all of these!.

1!. yes, the black death is recognized throughout the world to mean "bubonic plague" (yersinia pestis infection)!. plenty about that if you google it!.

2!. "yellow death" is not a term that any doctor would recognize!. I suppose you could use this to refer to "yellow fever", a mosquito-borne virus that results in jaundice (turning you yellow), and death from encephalitis)!. But again, "yellow death " has never been used in any medical reference, nor used by doctors!.

3!. Red death - I have no idea what this is!. Yes there are diseases that cause excess bleeding - like meningococcal sepsis, Dengue Fever, and Ebola Virus infection!. But no one in the medical world has ever designated the term "red death " for any of these!.

I think you have read about this trio if you are reading Edgar Allen Poe's "The mask of the red death", or the Vincent Price movie of the same name, but recognize that these were works of fiction!. There is also a 'green death" in that story -- which also does not exist as a medical term in real life!. It does make for a scary story - but it's just make believe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course the Black Plague is from bubonic plague (yersinia pestis)!. This was due to blackening under the skin due to dried blood!.

The yellow death, though I can't get specific, must be due to a condition that affects the liver!. Maybe an infectious disease, poisoning, alcohol, etc!.

Red death is fictional, I believe!.

One nickname you didn't mention is the White Plague- this was a name given to Tuberculosis many years ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the colors refer to specific indicators that these pandemics created!. Black death was characterized by black necrotic lesions commonly under the arm pits!. red plagues are characterized by haemorrhage's and yellow death to liver function causing jaundice (skin and eyes go yellow)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
