Should fast food restaurants be on Medical premises?!

Question:

Should fast food restaurants be on Medical premises?

There's many fast food restaurants located at hospitals. Fast food can create a lot of health problems for us.
Should Mcdonalds, etc. be there to please visitors, employees, etc?

Should hospitals be places of inspiration and education... WHY??

Im reading an article by Andrew Weil. Surgery with a side of fries.

Opinions/suggestions...extreme... curious about other views.

Answers:

I work at a hospital 12 hour shifts and we are not permitted to leave hospital grounds for lunch. In my opinion, I think it would be great to have fast food establishments located with in the hospital or within the property location something like what the have at the malls. There are some fast food places that are a little healthier, but most fast food places like mcdonalds burger king etc will take advantage of the “great location” to make money. Hospital ALWAYS have patients, families, visitors and staff that simply hate the cafeteria food. The hospital I work for has close to 2000 employees. Believe me the places that take advantage and are willing to stay open 24/7 will make a lot of money; and to most of these establishments that’s all that matters not our health.
