Answers:
There are lots of different types of rashes!. Some come for no apparent reason and go away as quickly as they came!. That said, here are some possibilities:
1!. Fungal infection such as ringworm!. Your doctor can prescribe an anti fungal agent, (cream, tablets, etc!.) but might want to see you first!.
2!. Urticaria (hives) that is generally caused by food (i!.e!. shellfish) and will go away once the source food has been eliminated from your diet!.
3!. Shingles, a viral infection of the nerves!. If this is suspected you should consult your physician ASAP!.
4!. Insect bites from fleas or bedbugs!. This type is usually accompanied by itching!.
5!. Contact eczema which is usually caused by contact with a substance to which you are allergic (i!.e!. poison ivy, oak)
6!. Irritant eczema which is usually caused by contact with an unfriendly chemical (i!.e!. a harsh detergent)!.

These are just some of the possibilities!. Other rashes might be considered long shots (i!.e!. Measles, both types, Scabies, Chickenpox and even Lyme Disease) but shouldn't be ignored!. the bottom line is that if your rash continues to grow and doesn't fit any of the characteristics above you should contact your physician for advice!. Good luck!.

Additional comment:
Some of what I listed may not itch for a while but most likely any rash will itch when it begins to heal (dry up)!. So if that happens reach for the calamine lotion!.
