Answers:
Puberty is the culprit for sure! Pick up the Pumping Insulin book by John Walsh!. He gives great advice for dealing with changing basals and carb factors!. Hormones are screwing up her basals and probably affecting her carb factor too!.

Most important here is to remember that the 2 of you are doing all you can and sometimes the numbers will be screwy no matter what you do!. Keep up the good work and stay in touch with her doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know how old she is, but if she's going through puberty I guarantee that has something to do with it!.
When I was going through puberty I had such a hard time keeping my levels on target, and there really isn't much you can do!. I got an insulin pump when I was 14 and that helped but really you just have to wait until the hormones balance themselves out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stress is a huge cause of messed up sugars!. School is a big stressor!.
So is exercise!. think about it, if she is a gradeschooler, she is out on the playground burning off her lunch running and playing, and then sitting in a classroom the rest of the day!.
Consider her age, her school activities, her diet, [is breakfast enough to carry her to lunch!?
Is she eating right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
