Question: Should our family get flu shots!?
We are 36, 33, 19, 14, and 6 and are wondering about getting the flu shot!. Our doctor said only infants and older people should have it and a friend's doctor said the whole family should do it or face potential deathly consequences!. Also, most websites are no help because they are usually supported by industry that has an interest in selling medicines, so of course they think the whole world should get flu shots!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. That will be 5 more people that won't get the flu, won't spread the flu and won't miss work and school because of the flu!.
And you won't take the chance of spreading the flu to grandma or your tiny little neice or anyone else!.

First of all you do not get flu symptoms from the flu shot!. I have had them many years in a row and have never gotten sick as the vaccination is derived from dead viruses!. Now when you consider you have school aged children who come into contact with many different viruses and bring them home, or if anyone works in the community any assistance in protecting your family would be a bonus!. The vaccine is not only to protect you, but when you work a job like I do with elderly, or disabled individuals, it will assist in protecting them from contracting the flu, which in these cases can be deadly!. Anyone with a weaken immune system needs all the protection they can get!. Just think of it this way, what would be the effect of the main bread winner becoming ill for two weeks because of the flu!? If you suffer any illnesses around the time of receiving the flu shot, it merely means you actually caught something within a week of that time, it is not from the shot itself!. Each year they use different strains in the vaccine, which means you could still develop a case of one of the other strains of flu!. Usually around three or four strains are included, mind you there are many more types of flu strains out there and it will not protect you from all of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, of course you should ALL get flu shots! The ONLY reason to NOT get them are allergy to eggs or something else in the shot, or because you have another medical condition and your doctor advises you not to get the shot!. Any doctor who says that only the very young and very old should get the shot is not being a very responsible doctor!. Anyone can become EXTREMELY ill from flu!. Get your flu shots!

Although it's true that some can get flu like symptoms after the shot, it still protects you from the deadliest form!. And it is also true that infants and the elderly are more prone to getting severely ill and even dying from it that's why they recommend it for them!. If you are all in good health I think your doctor is right that it's not necessary but if you want them for your own peace of mind then you can even get them at drugstores and even Target and Costco now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I am 15, and this is the 1st year I decided not to get the flu shot, my mom has always gotten it and she is now 45!. My dad has never gotten it and he is 49!. I have gotten colds when I got it and so has my mom!. My dad has been very careful about getting sick during the winter months and he rarely gets sick!. I decided not to get it this year because I have become more aware about the things I put in my body!. I don't want to get injected with chemicals!. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it is good, if you need it!. I would reflect on if your family gets the flu!. It depends on body chemistry how badly or even if you get the flu!. If your children often get the flu, I would recommend getting it for the 6 year old, but honestly I don't think it's nessacary!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, the shot protects not only you from the flu, but those around you from possibly being exposed to the flu!. Flu can be fatal in some cases!. Even if you survive the flu, it is one miserable illness to experience! Www@Answer-Health@Com
the reason they say infants and elderly is because their bodies have a harder time fighting off the infection!. If you dont want to all get sick I say get the shot!. i got the shot it didnt make me sick! Www@Answer-Health@Com
