Question about lubricants?!

Question:

Question about lubricants?

I used a lubricant called silk that warms, can a woman get bv from using that vaginally?

Answers:

Silk, as I recall is silicone-based These lubes are hard to wash out of the vagina, and can lead to infections like BV (bacterial vaginosis).

You may want to choose water-based lubes like Astroglide, Wet or ID (I'd recommend avoiding KY as it gets sticky and messier than other brands). Water-based lubes rinse out easier. If you are prone to BV, always wash up after sex. Do NOT use vaginal douche. It will exacerbate BV.

For the record, there is no such thing as a "bacterial virus" at least not in the sense that was mentioned above. Bacterial viruses are viruses that attack bacteria. In biology, we call these "bacteriophages" or "phages" for short. Phages are very useful for genetics and microbiology research.
