Chest X Ray was clear, is it definatley not cancer?!
Question: Chest X Ray was clear, is it definatley not cancer!?
(This is my father im talking about who is an ex smoker and smoked for about 20 years, quit 2 years ago)
He has a chronic cough that wont go away!. Its been around for 2 months and over!.!.!. &still going =l It gets a bit worse at night, but during the day he does a little cough every 5 - 10 mins
Hes tried antibiotics & asthma pump with steroids in it & hay fever stuff hes on now which isnt doing anything!.
But he had the chest x ray and blood test results which were all ok! No sign of anything wrong!.!.!.
So is it definatley not cancer!? What could it be!? Is it something serious!? What are all the possibilities!!?!!? Im scared hes going to kick off or something although the cough is very mild, but it just wont go away!.!.!.
His bro hasnt got cancer & his bro is a heavier smoker & is still smoking!. Doesnt that also prove it cant be cancer!?
Although my grandfather smoked and received chronic bronchitis & emphysema from it (he smoked a lot)!.!.!.

Sounds like chronic bronchitis ot the early stages of emphysema!. You won't see cancer on a chest x-ray anyways!. Chest x-rays being "clear" refers to things like pneumonia, fluid, etc!.!.!. If he doesn't have a pulmonary doctor, now is a great time to get one!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
