Osgood-Schlatter disease?!

Question: Osgood-Schlatter disease!?
I have osgood-schlatter's disease and i'm a 13 year old girl who is very very active!. I was just wondering if you people with osgood-schlatter's still keep on doing what you've been doing up until now!. I was going to physio but the lady told me not to come back because I was kinda telling her that my knee was getting better, it was but now is getting worse again!. She gave me excersies to do but I really don't have time to do them!. I dance and that just kills it!. Last week I had a volleyball tournament and I couldn't even barely walk after and I still had to go to dance!. But I didn't dance because it hurt to much!. I love dancing but I'm scared that this will never go away!. I know it's a growth spurt thing but I think it's a little more then just that disease!. It really hurts and I'm scared this is going to affect my future in dance and sports!. Please give me you advice and help

My younger brother was in the same situation!. He was so afraid when he was 12 about giving up basketball because of it!. What he did was kept it wrapped in an ACE bandage to keep the swelling down (not sure if yours is swelling or not) to manage some of the pain and took ibuprofen (such as Motrin) which helps also with the inflammation!. It might not be the easiest of all things, but it does help!. And if you are like a lot of Osgood-Schlatter's sufferers, it will get better in time!. Good luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
