Grey is used to signify diabetes awareness!. It is not a happy, cheerful color!. It represents the despair and gloom so prevalent in those affected by this disease!. Silver (high-polished) is used to represent the silver lining of hope!.!.!.!. that a cure will be found! Ribbons are recognized around the world as symbols of awareness!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure the source of your question but I will venture a guess!.

You noticed that red ribbons mean AIDS and pink means breast cancer!. If this is so, grey or silver means diabetes in the ribbon world!.
