Question: Is This Dog Bite Infected!?
About 2 days ago i was biten by a German Shepard!. The area has a bruse about 1 inch in diameter!. its puffed up and in the center is a red dot from the dogs tooth!. in the red dot there are a bunch of other little red dots!. the skin was broken and there was blood but there is no scab!. Is my bite mark infected!?

It doesn't sound like it's infected!. It just sounds inflamed!. Check the website below for the symptoms!. But I would ask the owners of the dog if he's up to date on his rabies!. If it was a stray dog I'd go to the doctor ASAP!. Tell him what's going on and he'll check you out and see if you will need a rabies injection!. Then he might prescribe antibiotics to make sure you don't get an infection!. But if the dog is up to date on his shots and your symptoms don't get worse then I think you should be fine!. I've been bittten by a bunch of animals and I just keep the wound clean and sometimes take antibiotics and I turned out fine!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
