Question: I have a marble size kidney stone in my left kidney!. The pain is unbearable!.!?
Now they are telling me because they don't have the equipment in my town, I have to wait at least two weeks for the procedure!. Does this cause additional risks!? And should I wait or go elsewhere!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow,marble sized is HUGE! I dont knw what to tell you, but I wouldn't want to wait 2 weeks with a kidney stone!. You must be having unbearable pain and yes, depending on where its located, it could damage your kidney by blocking the flow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Wow, I had Kidney Stones and I'm Just Turning 18!. Matter Fact I Had it 3 Times!. The first time was OMG Hurt Like Hell, Went To The Emergency room at 2 Am and It took them 2 hours to say it was kidney stones and to make sure it wasn't my appendices!. I believe They did a ultra sound at first to pop the stone using sound waves which worked but those little cracks that poped grew and it made me get it a 2nd Time a Month or 2 Later!. The 2nd time Hurt but not as bad as the first since it was in a different location, this time they didn't do shyt!. They just gave me Morphine for the pain, and since it moved away from my bladder it didn't hurt!. Told me to drink a Gallon of water a day so it could pass!. The 3rd time was the same stone only there was more small ones only thing moved back down to my bladder and Hurt, didn't do nothing again but just say drink WATER and special Pain relievers, and from then I haven't had them since!. Its been about a Year 1/2!. I don't know if they passed or not-Maybe the small ones did, because I didn't realize anything but I heard people say it hurts like Hell when it passes when you pee!. So I don't Know!. That's my experience!.
Now to answer your question:
2 weeks for procedure- Is alot if you still have the Pain its important that you get treated right away, I don't know where the stone in your body is, you would need a Cat Scan (I Think thats what you called it, Maybe not spelled right)!. for them to say where the stone is located, because you can't tell from a Normal X-Ray!.
Does this cause additional risk: Yes it can, it can, it can affect your bladder!. Meaning it would burn when you pee, or worse you bleed when you pee, then you must go to the Emergency room ASAP!. other risk is that you won't be able to tolerate the pain no more!. Other conditions I'm not aware of!.
Wait Or Go Elsewhere- Up 2 you, if the Pain Continues Where you can't take it no more after even a night or 2, then Go somewhere lelse if possible!. If it's on and off, you declare that!.

my father got them!. he had to do something where they shot soundwaves and shattered it so it would be esier to pass (dont know if thats the procedure you're talking about)
