Medical Advice: Rash on my thigh?!

Question:

Medical Advice: Rash on my thigh?

Disclaimer: I'm asking this in a mature manner, so please respond accordingly.

I'm currently on vacation at a country that's extremely hot and is dead center on the equator. I'm normally a San Francisco guy so I'm used to days that are usually cool, if not cold. Anyway, just recently, a weird rash has started to appear along my thighs where my genitals are (I'm male), and since it's so hot here, and that I wear pants alot even in the hottest of days, I figured that it might be my skin just reacting to the heat or sweat, and being "stuck" together (like how you'd get stuck to someone else if you made skin contact in a hot sweaty day.)

So my theory is that it'll go away once I get out of this heat. The symptoms tend to be peeling and itchy discolored skin. It doesn't seem that alarming, but what are you guys' opinion on the matter? (Assuming you are knowledgeable about such conditions or diseases.) Should I leave it alone or do I have something to worry about?

Answers:

Its probably just heat rash caused by the extreme in weather and sweating/rubbing of the legs. Use baby powder or some medicated powder and wash a few times a day. try to wear something that will not irritate. Forget the jeans for a day or two.
