Answers:
No, you needn't see a doctor! (and particularly a med!. student who spells it as "midcalvicular"! !)!.

What what you describe is EXACTLY how the cardiovascular system works!.

During sleep the pulse rate drops -as does the blood pressure- to absolute minimum, simply because the heart has to do no work apart from keeping the organs of the body 'ticking over'!.!.!. so minimum cardiac output of blood is required!.;

Usually, then soon you'll get an automatic adrenaline rush, as the brain prepares you for the "rise and shine! get up and get ready to GO" mode kicks in!. Now your pulse will rise as do your BP's!.!.

So the specific answer is you are absolutely, completely normal for your age, healthy as a flea!.

If you wish to read up on the mechanism I've described you can borrow Levick's "An Introduction to Cardiovascular Physiology" from the Library!. When you've finished reading it you can e-mail the relevant passage to any med!. students you know, who think that giving something a high-falutin' poly-syllabic-cod-Latin name is either informative or problem-solving!Www@Answer-Health@Com
