Over the counter ear drops for an 8 yr. old?!
Question: Over the counter ear drops for an 8 yr!. old!?
My daughter occasionally complains of a slight earache!. She's been checked out and she's simply prone to mild ear infections!. The last time we took her to our family doctor, she gave us a prescription for ear drops which cleared it right up!. Over the course of a year or so, she would still get them and since the exp!. date on them was up this month, we continued to use them!. So my question is this!.!.!.!.!.!.our family doc is out of the office on the weekends and we hate to take her to the ER so are there over the counter ear drops for temporary relief and if so, any recommendations!? I'm a little apprehensive about using them, but she's not in a lot of pain!. She does have a very slight fever!. Any advice would be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry, I only have bad news!.!.!.even if the ear infection is only mild, it still needs antibiotics (close enough to the brain that you don't want to play around with the problem)!. You can't buy antibiotic ear drops over-the-counter of pharmacies: it's prescription only!.
