Blackouts after looking at your own Blood?

I have a friend who sometimes has a nose bleed gets really dizzy, and he says everything turns black and he feels weak. He cant control it, hes a pretty tuff guy but for some reason this happens to him. How come?

Lastnight I found him on the floor. Scary.


Answers:

Just one of those things. I have a sister-in-law that faints at the sight of blood too. It's more a mental thing.
