I have a cut in between one of my toes and i think it might be infected. please help!?

where the cut is i have athletes feet. the wound is red, and i think it may be infected. what could i use to get this problem "fixed"(its an open wound so i have no idea what to use. HELP! its been there for some time now.....and gotten worse and worse.your answer would be greatly appreciated!

Soak your feet in salt water and then put neosporen on it. keep it clean if it gets worse go to doctor.
