How to manage gerd attack?!
Question:
How to manage gerd attack?
Answers:
Have you been diagnosed with GERD? GERD is not "just heartburn". Your esophageal sphincter (between your throat and your stomach) opens enough to emit stomach acids which harm your esophagus. This may result in erosive esophagitis (the inflamed esophagus begins to shed cells), which may result in Barrett's Esophagus (a precancerous condition), which may result in esophageal cancer. You do not have to have burning or pain or indigestion for this to be happening. The safest way for you to manage a GERD attack, if you haven't already done this, is to see a physician for diagnosis and treatment. I have seen (nonsmoking) patients in their 30's die of esophageal cancer as a result of untreated GERD.
