Quick question UK only: Can only sexually active people attend GUM clinics?
It's very difficult to get an appointment with my GP, so i thought going to a GUM clinic would be a good alternative. I'm not sexually active but do have some sort of an infection in my privates.
I posted yesterday and got some kind, helpful replies but someone answered i had no business going to a GUM clinic if i'm not sexually active.
Is this correct? I know not to take every answer as gospel on Y!A, but i'd stand a better chance of seeing the Loch Ness Monster than my GP.
I really need to see someone about this personal problem!

Go and see the GUM clinic. It's got nothing to do with being sexually active, I had to go years ago when I was sixteen and not sexually active. They don't care if you sleep with everyone around or you're still a virgin, they're only interested in helping you if you've got a problem in that area. Ignore the tosser who told you that you couldn't go. He/ she is either ignorant or malicious. Either way they are talking rubbish.
