I'm about to start using Accutane, I was just wondering what sort of side effect!

I'm about to start using Accutane, I was just wondering what sort of side effects I should expect.?

I read the novel of a pamphlet they gave me, I just wanted to know from someone's actual experience with it.

okay, i took it in 1984. very dry lips. this is going to sound strange, but, every night, rub vicks vapor rub on your lips before you go to bed. your lips will not get dry, they will stay soft. during the day you can use vasoline on them. face gets very dry and flaky. i used vasoline on the flaky spots, just a little bit. i heard that you have to get blood tested to check on your liver, i never had that done cause i think that it just came out when i got it, so make sure you are getting that tested. also, your acne will get worse before it gets better, so just hang in there. i wish you the best, i know what you are going through. oh, and i don't have a lifetime of patchy skin! that person must have something else wrong!
