k so i (17 yr old f) was diagnosed with excersise induced asthma 3 years ago, it was minor so i used albuterol when needed. I had an asthma attack 1 1/2 ago after excersise, went to the hopsital and got heavier meds, This year i had pneumonia, ems had to come four time, was in the e.r twice and hospitalized for 3 days. I had a cough from november-may ,was diagnosed as a habit cough, and the loud barking sound of the cough went away but i still cough plenty daily, and sometimes it sounds like a sneeze beacuase mucus comes out of both my nose and mouth, and especially when I am active the mucus gets very thick and makes it hard to breathe. So now my question I had an excersise induced asthma test on the treadmill last week which showed a 35% reduction of oxygen after 6 minutes of activity, the person who gave it said it looked like excersise asthma , but my doc a top pulmonolgist said he doesnt think its excersise asthma but something else, but wont tell me what yet, what could it be?

Sounds like asthma along with Chronic Bronchitis. Do the meds help? If so then thats likely what it is. Does excercise cause you to have an attack? If so then yes, thats exercise induced asthma. And the cough and mucus sounds like Chronic Bronchitis.
