I have a bacteria in my stomach that may cause ulcer, what should I do?!

Question:

I have a bacteria in my stomach that may cause ulcer, what should I do?

I went to the doctor and she gave me some medication for it, but my question is should I quite smoking too? could that be the cause of my stomach problems?

Answers:

Very good idea!
Smoking increases the acid in your stomach leading to the irritation and corrosiveness of the inside lining of your stomach causing the ulcers. The ulcers are formed when the lining of the stomach is stripped from its natural mucus protectant layer, then our natural acids irritate and further more the natural bacteria will cause a sore and this is the ulcer.
Quitting smoking is ALWAYS a GREAT idea!!!!!!
