If you have Endometriosis?!

Question:

If you have Endometriosis?

i REALLY think i may have this! what are the symptoms? does the pain go away and come back? does it occur during certain activity? is it like a sharp tearring pain in the low part of your stomach? does it hurt when people push on your stomach/use the restroom/have sex? is the pain so severe that the only way to ease it is to curl up in a ball? i have all of these symptoms and more!

Answers:

I have had endo for 11 years now, but was only diagnosed 5 years ago. When I was finally diagnosed I was in stage IV with bi-lateral cyst. I had adhesions connecting my uteris to my colon and my colon to my spine, So I am not sure how many of my syptoms were related to the locations of the scar tissue. The symptoms that I suffered was extreme cramping starting one to two days before my period and lasting one to two days beyond. My period would last 8 to 14 days. The rest of the month my stomach would be sensitive and I would also experience sharp pains during some activities. My cramps were a dull ache that would become a sharp pain when I stood up right or made to many movements. The pain was always located in my lower stomach or in my lower back. And yes I did experience pain when someone would push on my stomach, during bowel movements (when I was on my period), and I have and always will experience pain during sex. And yes I spent many days curled into a ball when I was on my period and when I did get out of bed I could not stand upright without experiencing much pain. I also experinced vomiting, dyrrehia, and blood in my stool.
If you believe you maybe suffering from endo you should bring your concerns to your doctors attention and if they do not want to take you seriously ask for a second experience. I saw many doctors, and it took me losing 40 pounds in two months for them to start believing that I did have something wrong. Good luck and best wishes.
