Question: Why is Acinetobacter baumanni so hard to treat!? What factors make it so drug resistant!? !?
I know that it is a gram-negative bacteria that is linked to many nosocomial infections amonst trauma or military patients!. It's many strains are mostly drug-resistant!. I want to know what could be the reason why it's hard to kill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The numerous intrinsic resistance mechanisms!. These would include loss of outer membrane porins,intrinsic B-lactamases, acquired beta-lacatmases, modifying enzymes plus numerous others depending on the antibiotic being used!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
