There are different strains of HIV (some more virulent, some less), but AIDS refers to a combination of conditions and/or illnesses than result from a deficient immune system caused by HIV!. Only one type!. You start off w/ HIV which you usually find out when you are tested for it!. If you find out you have HIV early, there is a greater chance of you living a life free of aids!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
