Answers:
The patient is seen in emergency first and treatment is commenced!. The emergency Dr starts ordering treatment in case the cardiologist isn't there yet!. When the cardiologist is then notified they will need to see the patient immediately to order medications especially if the patient is having an acute myocardial infarct because thrombolytic drugs need to be administered immediately!. When the patient is transferred to the CCU the RN assesses the patient and continues with the Drs!.orders and treatment!. I worked in a CCU, the Dr may be present in CCU or might not be there, it depends on the condition of the patient!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first person to assess the patient would be the RN!. After the nurse assesses the patient and provides any care needed, the physician on call or on the unit would see the patient and if a consult with a cardiologist is needed, the cardiologist would then see the patient!. The Physician on the unit would ask the cardiologist to see the patient!.
Hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
