My elderly mother has stopped eating, she is on the zoloft, but I've heard that there's an antidepressant that increases the appetite and I was wondering if she's already on it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is the sort of thing that you really should talk to her doctor about!. otherwise, do some research on the internet (but don't forget to take everything from a non government source [!.gov] with a grain of salt) good luck and, as an aside, try to make/bring food that you know she likes and make mealtimes pleasant and family-oriented!. I'm on laxepro and I have loss of appetite too !. My cousin in on Zanax and the same thing so I don't really think antidepressants increase appetite and if there is please let me know I lost 10 lbs in a month ! I'm scared I might disappear ! LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com
I took Lexapro for a year and gained approx 20 lbs!. I have heard Zoloft causes a decrease in appetite!. I am on Wellbutrin now and have lost the weight!. I hope your mom gets the help she needs!Www@Answer-Health@Com
