Sharp containers should not be reused. Once they are full, they should be sealed and sent for disposal. Also, you should only fill a sharp container 3/4 of the way. This is to protect you from accidental needle sticks and to prevent needles already in the box from poking through. Sharp containers are puncture resistant...NOT puncture proof. Home sharp containers are available in drug stores for a few dollars. Depending on where you buy them, the size can range from a quart size to a gallon size. Unless you need one for a medical facility, it's not adviseable to use larger than one gallon.
