I think an itch is a really minuscule triggering of your touch senses that are really there to make you aware of, say, a little bug crawling on your arm!. That's why your first reaction is always to scratch it!. It's a defense mechanism!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are many reasons but the first one to jump out (my opinion anyway !) are allergies!.!.!.
