What is a good home remedy for "restless leg syndrome"?!

Question: What is a good home remedy for "restless leg syndrome"!?
Answers:
Here is what I do, sort of a combination of things to make it go away!.
I start by walking at least a mile a few hours before I am going to bed, or if no time to walk I do a yoga stretching session (you can buy these on DVD at any big box store)!.
Then I take a calcium supplement (2 actually) everyday, as well as a multivitamin to make sure no vitamin deficiencies such as B complex or folic acid is causing it!.
There are dietary things you can do!. I did an elimination diet (I am lactose and gluten intolerant and eliminating those foods did a LOT to help my RLS) RLS can be triggered by food allergies!. Speaking of food, watch your caffine intake, and if you smoke (causes vasoconstriction), cut back especially near bed time or quit as smoking can trigger it as well!.

Near bedtime, draw a very warm bath, it doesn't need to be deep, just enough to cover your legs!.!.!. make a cup of Celestial seasonings Wellness Sleepy Time tea, add valerian, hops, and passion flower to the cup ( I use about 1 tsp of the mix a cup full!. If I want a second cup, I just do the sleepytime tea alone)(you can get them at any tea or health food store, by the way)!. Sit in the bath, read a good book or magazine, then drink the tea!. If your legs are already feeling restless, take an Advil or Tylenol as well!.
While your legs are still warm from the bath, jump into your already warm bed (get an electric blanket or mattress cover with a timer)!. Put a small pillow under your knees, and try to get to sleep asap!.
This usually works for me!. It is a lot of work, but on those nights that you really need to sleep and not flail about, it is really worth it!
I also find that training my dog to actually sleep on my legs (she is small, about 30 lbs) helps a lot!. It acts like a band-aid on a cut, I think!. The pressure on my legs masks the urge to move them around a bit, so it helps a lot!. Weird, but it works for me,and my pup loves sleeping on the bed with me, so it is win-win!. lol!
Sorry so long, it is just that I have struggled (no pun intended) with this issue for about 15 years and worked hard to find a drug free way to deal with it!. You have to find out what your personal triggers are, and then prevention, prevention, prevention is the key!
There are homeopathic docs that also treat this, and my friend swears by hers!. Since treatment is tailored to the individual in homeopathy, you will need to make an appt!. with a doc to get advice there!.
Good luck, hope some of this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
