Does probiotic get rid of cystitis and any really good cures apart from antibiotics any1?
iv suffered from it most of me life since i was about 6 and i used 2 get it lyk once a year now i get it nearly every month or sometimes weekly iv been to doctors and stuff been on antibiotics but they dont make me feel any better and i need to find a long term cure which will stop it comming back all the time.
any one have any good cures apaprt from all the useral ones .

I really am the most anti-antibiotic doctor you could meet. However this is a no-no. Cystitis is annoying, it only affects the bladder, however left without antibiotic treatment a percentage of patients will go on to get infection spreading up the ureters to the kidneys. Here they cause pyelitis or pyelonephritis, this can cause permanent scarring to the kidneys. If this occurs repeatedly it can result in renal failure.
Avoid them for coughs,colds,sore throats, middle ear infections and sinusitis, the evidence here is that they have almost no effect anyway.
