Answers:

Not curable but controllable..I have had asthma since I was 12 and today with Advair I have no problems...I believe Advair is an accolade and it not only treats the symptoms and but also the cause...I carry the Ventolin puffer, I used to use it all day, and rarely, if ever, use it anymore...the one thing about asthma, it can become a crutch and if you don't learn how to live with it and not let it debilitate you, you will suffer its affects all your life...I was of course allergic to dust, but I loved horses and my mother said just endure it and you will be ok..many a day I would return from the stables and be under a towel with vapours trying to get a decent breath...I survived and eventually own and showed horses and did not suffer attacks after awhile...so it may not work for all but it worked for me..I kind of built my own immunity...but the Advair..try it and you will be amazed...it can affect the heart of course but in rare cases..I am 60 and my heart is strong and healthy...despite a history of some pretty nasty drugs...in the 60s Asthma used to be treated with a drug that did cause heart problems ...then the next was barbiturates and amphetamines combined..Tedral and we all know now what a dangerous mix that was...the steroids, inhalers, were the best and safest for me until Advair...the best advise...do not let it control your life...and it is a powerful influence if you let it.
