Hair Dye Allergy Test?!

Question:

Hair Dye Allergy Test?

I've been dying my hair with the same dye for years and have never had a problem. Last week I got a tattoo and thought I should do the allergy test. I did it on my inner arm like it said to. About 24 hours later, I developed a small rash of little red bumps on my legs. The bumps may have been caused by heat, as I was wearing tight jeans and in the heat all day, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible that I had an allergic reaction to the dye? Does it make sense that I would become irritated on my legs?! Sorry this was so long, I'm just confused and don't want to risk anything. Thanks a lot!

Answers:

I would say, try the test again, under less extreme circumstances. Better to wait a few more days than to have a bad reaction.

Also, it may have nothing to do with your tattoo. The formulation of the dye may have changed slightly. Or, you may have developed a sensitivity to it.
