Do i have OCD? please help?!


Question: Do i have OCD!? please help!?
i'm not like overly concerned about like washing my hands and germs and stuff like that but for example in school i might check to make sure my phone is on vibrate like once every few minutes, when i go to bed i make sure that my phone is on the exact same spot i always keep it, when i'm on the phone i always walk around in the same spot of my house in the same order, i have weird sexual thoughts sometimes (that i won't go into), and when i'm walking on the street i skip the cracks!. and sometimes i obsess over the most unlikely scenarios and have to keep repeating to myself that this thing won't happen!. i'm not really organized though!. is this OCD!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

honestly I believe everyone has some form of OCD!. I do similar weird habits too!. I talk to others who have weird habits also!. I think you should not be concerned unless it starts to prevent day-to-day activities or if you are physically harming yourself or others!.

Edit: I would say no!. I check my phone over and over to make sure it is on silent when I am going somewhere important!. I check my phone at night 2 or 3 times to make sure my alarm is set right!. I refuse to touch anything in public restrooms including the doors, faucets, toliet seat, sometimes I randomly count light poles on one side of the road!. People do weird OCD things out of boredom or because they worry a lot!. I am a worry wart so that what leads to mine!. I am perfectly normal!. Everyone has some form of OCD!.
My husband has to have all the vents in the car either opened or closed, wants either all the windows fully opened or closed, likes to have his work boots in a certain place!.
My friend is obsessed with having his bathroom spotless!. No hair, no soap scum, no rain spots, no dirt what-so-ever on the counters, in the shower, on the floor, or mirror!.

Hopefully you are getting my point here!. Don't analize so much what you do, if you do you might make your habbits into you needing help!. Just live your life and understand that if you don't do these certain things, life will not end!. Move on and get on with your life!. You always have tomorrow to continue your OCD habbits!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

People's thoughts and behaviors are very complex and they don't always fit neatly into boxes!. Maybe you have OCD, and maybe you are completely normal!. Maybe you are mostly normal with a few psychological thought patterns that you would like to change!. Normal people have all sorts of quirks, including many of the things common to OCD!.

The primary thing that separates people with OCD from people with normal, everyday quirks is anxiety!. A person without OCD performs habits and may worry about it because they are doing odd things!. A person with OCD has the opposite reaction - they tend to worry or feel anxiety when they don't perform the habitual behavior!.

It would probably be helpful to talk to a mental health counselor - it can help to get a better understanding of yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
