Question:
I have been reading that HIV isn't that easy to catch? Is this true?
Answers:
Actually, it's true. Infected blood or body fluid--blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk, synovial fluid, spinal cord fluid, fluid around an unborn baby, and any other body fluid that contains blood--must enter your system through nonintact skin. There are many many different statistics regarding the possibility of serconversion (becoming infected) after different types of exposure. Some individuals are said to be exposed to HIV multiple times before they seroconvert. But why take a chance?
