Blood is the primary trasport medium in your body. Is is pumped throughout your body by the heart. It carries oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and it carries waste to places like your kidneys and liver where it can be filtered out.

It consists of two main parts. The red blood cells make up about 50% and are what carris oxygen throughout the body and carbon dioxide away. The cellular part also includes white cells to fight infection and platelets for clotting. The liquid part of blood, called plasma, is what carries nutrients and waste.
