I have seen no data to support that statement. I have been treating people with asthma for the better part of 15 years. I have had asthma for all 48 years of my life and have yet to fall victim to an autoimmune disease. Asthma is classified as a reactive airway disease and falls under the catch all phrase of COPD or chronic obstructive airway disease. It can be mild, moderate or severe.
