Red bumps but not close to vagina area?!

I have every once in awhile red bumps that look like cystic acne around where my front pubic hair should be(the part visible if i was standing and naked) none ever get close to the vagina area and they get sore just like my regular acne!. Could it be herpes that far away!? Or is it just because i am so prone to acne everywhere on my body!. I noticed them 7 months after having sex!. I also took a STD test lin between that time I don't have the results but I know it all came up clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
