Agree with everyone! It is possible for diabetes to go to remission!. That's the good news!. The bad news is that you have keep running, stay away from refine sugars and stay on a diet for life!. Otherwise, it will come back!.

No!. There is no CURE for diabetes, and it does not go "into remission"!.

it CAN, however, be controlled by proper lifestyle changes!. Looks like you may have achieved that!

BUT !. !. !. the diabetes WILL return if you do not continue!. You don't have to run every night, but obviously getting more exercise into your life worked for you!. So work out a plan where you can maintain the same exercise level, adjust your diet, and still feel comfortable!.

In this way, the diabetes will remain under CONTROL!. You're not cured, but the disease will not bother you so long as you maintain the new lifestyle!.

Congratulations!

The word you are looking for is control!. You have your blood sugar more in control, and your symptoms are gone!. Congratulations! Doesn't it feel great!? Go exercise! Now that your sugars are down, keep them down!. Eat a healthy balanced diet, avoid process sugar [a little won't hurt] exercise, and get your hemoglobin a1c down to below 7, 6 is better!.
You could come off and stay off meds, and be symptom free!. Talk to your doctor before stopping any meds, though!. And get a good diet off the internet, or talk to doctor!. The American diabetic Association website is great, start there!.
And about that word diet!. Diet is what we eat, bad diet, good diet, unhealthy diet, healthy diet, regular diet, low salt diet, diabetic diet, reducing diet and on and on!. People think when we say diet, it means a reducing diet!. NOT! There is too many diets to even try to mention!.
Thank you for allowing me to get on my soapbox!. !. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body is not a machine!. It goes through changes caused by so many factors, general health, emotions, environment and getting used to routine!. Your goal to to continue the diabetic life style and make slight changes to your self care and needed!. For almost two years my number were rock solid!. Now they are up 10 points!. It take different effort to get them back down, but I am two years older!.

Best Wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know people who have exercised and dieted to control their blood sugars!. This only works for type 2 diabetics though!. And what you also have to remember, is that you haven't gotten rid of the disease you're controlling it!. If you stop exercising, it'll come right back!.

I'm not saying skipping one night will bring it all back!. Just try to exercise most days like you have been!.

So !.!.!. keep up the good work :o) You're doing great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well then run!
Diabetes can go into remission and your blood sugar ratio can improve; if you lose weight and keep it at a normal level this can happen!.
I'm glad you're feeling healthier!. Keep up the good work and you won't have hardly any symptoms at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Possibly!. The amount of exercise you describe would reduce weight, increase lean muscle mass, and help bring diabetes into remission!. Keep at it!Www@Answer-Health@Com
