Can you get HIV (or AIDS) and pregnant at the same time?!

Question:

Can you get HIV (or AIDS) and pregnant at the same time?

For some odd reason, I was watching the movie 'Girl, positive' and it's about how a girl gets HIV, so i was wondering if u can get HIV (or AIDS) and get pregnant at the same time.

Answers:

Yes you can contract HIV and get pregnant at the same time.
For one to be pregant it means that you are having unprotected sex or whatever protection you used for the pregnancy failed.
If a man with HIV has vaginal intercourse without a condom then infected fluid can pass into the woman's bloodstream through the vagina. It is also possible for infected fluid to enter the woman's bloodstream if she has a tiny cut or sore inside her body. Such a cut might not always be visible, and could be so small that the woman wouldn't know about it.

NOTE: that contraceptives do not reduce the risk of contracting HIV but condoms if used correctly and consistently, are highly effective at preventing HIV transmission

The HI Virus is contained in the semen and pre ejaculatory fluid of infected person.
Pre ejaculatory fluid also contains sperms as well as the HI Virus and it can make one pregnant or expose one to risk of contracting the HI virus.

Contracting HIV or getting pregnant are not linked in any way (unless you say they can be both sexually transmitted).
