Grandmas blood pressure is 179 over 110. she just took her bp medication after she saw. should i be scared?
becuse i am. i love her. she is 76 and takes care of 4 minors. her daughter passed away and she si the only one who could take us.

People with blood pressure problems sometimes have spikes in their pressure-- that's what the pills are for. However, I suggest you check it every half hour or so and if it hasn't come down in the next hour or so, is going higher, or she is beginning to experience additional symptoms, then I suggest you take her to the ER quickly.
